Advice moving to Troon or Prestwick

Hi, i am looking to move to Troon or Prestwick and looking for some local knowledge and advice. It will be myself, hubby and 2 young children (3 & 6yrs old) moving to the area and our budget is not huge for a house (upto £160K). I notice we can get a little more for our money in Prestwick, the houses are mostly near the a school called Kingcase primary. I am just wanting to find out areas to avoid, best schools and anything else that can help me make a decision. Thanks

Troon is nicer. Very nice in fact.

I'd prefer Troon over Prestwick. It's lovely. I wouldn't know much about schools in either though.

Different secondary schools for Troon and Prestwick. Marr College in Troon traditionally has the better reputatiin but that may not mean muc in reality.

Largs is nice too.

Thanks for your responses. My house sold very quickly and I ended up buying in Troon and moved just before Christmas. So far so good and really enjoying the place :-)

Aah, should have checked the date on your OP Blush
Bet you're glad we didn't all say Prestwick!
