I posted a few weeks back about my mum chatting to this guy on the net who lives in Kosovo and how they were obsessed with each other, even tho they havent met, and how they say they love each other, well today she booked her ticket to Kosovo....

Blimey that sounds a bit dangerous.

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 19:16:48

yup, shes going all by herself. If I find my original post I will link it.

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 19:18:20

oh goodness... well i hope it all turns out ok! must be worrying for you though

HappyHuggy Wed 29-Jun-05 19:23:25

maybe meeting him will be a dose of reality?

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 19:24:20

yea I cant believe shes going to stay in some guys house she hasnt even met before and he cant even speak good english. she has to change at london and shes never been the 8 miles to manchester alone before (and its our nearest city - bus goes direct every 10 mins from our house)

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 19:25:22

i have to admit... i have met people from the internet by myself. very dangerous though... i was young and stupid.
have even met people abroad!

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 19:31:32

I have met ppl from the net too when I was 16/17.....most except 1 turned out well, and I still speak to some of them, but I would never do it now! I was so naive and stupid back then!

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 19:37:39

me too... same age!

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 19:38:38

ar u still young now starlover?

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 19:40:32

25 in august!

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 19:42:30

I'm 21 just now

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 20:06:10

so I guess I have to let her go?

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 20:08:46

i think all you can really do is express your concern. tell her you're worried for her.
and make sure she knows that if things don't work out that you'll be waiting for her when she gets back!

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 20:08:59

parents eh? who'd have em?

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 20:12:06

but if i went with her at least i know she would be safe, but i totally disagree with it and have my own life to lead and a job to go to.

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 20:13:24

how would she feel if you did go with her?

AnnaInManchester Wed 29-Jun-05 20:18:54

she would be elated. but i cant ask for time off work, and if I get a new job which should be in a few weeks, i dont want to put them off me by saying i have holidays booked.

starlover Wed 29-Jun-05 20:33:14

hmm difficult one... what day is her flight? could you just go for 2 or 3 days perhaps?

I remember your original thread but as your user name keeps changing it does get very confusing!.
