Is your dh supposed to look after your children?

um, I think you're being a bit silly (sorry)
If you're not going to be there then it doesn't really matter if your dh is in or not does it?
have you got any reason not to trust him?

oh, didn't think of children. If he's supposed to be looking after them then I would be pissed off.

If your dh is completely alone for the weekend I don't see what difference it makes to you whether he sleeps at home or at his friend's house, sorry. Unless he's somehow supposed to care for the children... then it'd be different, of course.

I guess it depends on your relationship. I would imagine that he sees it as you're going away so why should he be stuck at home. Think as his wife you had every right to ask him not to stay over especially as you don't particularly like the company there. Maybe he just feels that you don't trust him and maybe is really missing you!!!! Might be wishing you were at home

so he's going out, his mum will have the children and the argument is about whether or not he stays over at someone house? is that right?
if so then I think you probably are being a bit OTT

Slight over reaction on your part I think, sorry!

it sounds a little silly but exactly like the sort of thing I'd say to dh I'm a jealous and paranoid person, oh the things he has to put up with!!

Sounds like you are in for a lovely weekend - wish I could come! Let him enjoy his weekend anyway he can (within moral limits of course!). You will both feel better for it.

mosschops - I don't know really...

I've always been like it, I think it's a bit less now simply because me and dh don't do a lot apart, I think we've had two nights apart in the last 2 years.

Dh has come to realise it's part of me though (which I appreciate, although there's other things I wish he could accept too, like me getting cranky if I'm tired )

mosschops, make it up to him before you go,otherwise the w/end will be spoilt for both of you.

My dh has been away for most of the past 4 years.I have to trust him (and vice versa) or we wouldn't still be married.

Mosschops,i really sympathise for you,i am exactly the same.I try my hardest not to let my jealousy, insecurity and paranoia rear its ugly head but its hard!I try to bite my tongue cos i hate rowing and i end up really upsetting dp for my lack of trust in him.I wish i didnt feel this way cos it just eats away at me.
