Dh has just surprised me

By arranging a baby sitter for Saturday night, booking a table for dinner and mysteriously 'having to go and sort something out' for about half an hour last night and being very secretive about it. Because it is our anniversary.

So hurrah for DH.

Maybe I should stop being rude about him? Waddya think?

OK, but only for a week or so

Any idea where?

Wow, he sounds lovely

Definitely! Excellent work on his part I'd say.

DH has just broken the news to me, reluctantly, that he's organised tickets for a show for my birthday .... I rang him to ask him if he could organise something for me and a few girlfriends.

It's nice to have good DHs isn't it?

happy

Where what ilove? Dinner? Only Prezzo but good enough

I think I might have to make it more than a week. Perhaps 10 days.

disenchanted - he's very nice. Lovely is pushing it

DH went and bought me Professor Layton & Pandora's Box last night as an early anniversary pressie cos he knows I've been itching to get it

Problem is I haven't got him a gift. I really struggle with anniversary gifts - he doesn't want flowers or chocolates (both of which I'd love) so I have to really think about it .

So I told him I wanted to go shopping with him to get him something he'd really like. Was that a cop out? Think I might get away with it?

Where you're going for dinner? Prezzo? Is that slang for Pizza Hut? They have some very nice salads now....

Shopping for gifts is fun together. How many years is it?

No, shopping together is not a cop out. I must confess I prefer it and am not a chocs and flowers sort. Don't stop being rude about or to him though....it obviously works.

Has he printed the 2 meals for a tenner voucher from Prezzo? or has he been reading your posts?

I might add that we don't have vast amounts of money to spare atm. So even if we had a wonderful expensive little restaurant locally, we wouldn't be patronising it

Congratulations, Orm! Hope you have a lovely time. (I think Prezzo is v nice actually, and would love to be taken there. Or anywhere. Sigh.)

Sounds lovely... Happy anniversary, by the way!!

Am also hoping that he forgoes his obsession with anniversary 'materials'. ie paper for one year, pewter for 10 (or whatever it is). A silk blouse was OK but wasn't that impressed with saucepans one year - well it's iron isn't it?

Orm that's lovely, happy anniversary

Maybe it has sunk in a bit that he needs to pull his finger out?

I like Prezzo, nice and relaxed and yummy food. We don't have one round here so I am quite . Have a lovely evening!

Thats lovely, my best 'date' with dp was a hamburger roll out the chippy and a bottle of red cola sitting along the beach in the car as we were really skint lol.

Thanks everyone!

We had a lovely evening. But inevitably both boys were still up when we got home. Hey ho...
