Dp has just landed a new job with potential for management training. We were talking about it this morning and I was giving full support saying he should go for it etc ... even if it meant spending a week away from home on a course. He then turned around and said "well yeah, if it inconviences you ... it's tough"

I was really pissed off as I was trying to be supportive and 'nice' and he basically comes out with that.

AIBU to feel angry over it? I felt it showed very little respect for me. Or am I being precious?

I felt like saying "well, I'm going to start going on every work night out now ... and if that inconvieniences you, it's just tough"

yes he usually is so brunt and crap with words but I'm sick of that being his excuse. I was trying to be supportive and he says that as if to say "I don't give a shit what you say to be honest".

I actually told him he'd annoyed me and said if it had been the other way around, I wouldn't just say "tough".

He admitted he could have used better words but I still feel annoyed. The stubborn side of me feels like making it extremely difficult for him to do these courses now.
