What do you imagine your ex-boyfriend(s) are doing now?

I had a moment of catharsis yesterday and it really helped me. I am with love-of-my-life DH, but I had a relationship years before I met him that really hurt me.

I hardly ever think about the ex, but yesterday for some reason I thought, I wonder what X is doing now? I had heard he got married some years ago, but nothing since. Well, the thought that came into my head straight away was: he has messed up his marriage too, they have split up after a series of horrible fights, and now he is a bitter part-time dad with anger issues.

Is it horrible of me to think this? The problem is, the more I imagine that scenario, the more I am convinced that it is quite likely to have happened. I have no contact with him and really don't want to know whether it's true. But it made me feel better just thinking, I made the right decision to split from him when I did.

Do others imagine similar outcomes for ex-boyfriends? Or is it just me?

Googled him and found a photo and he has turned into his father and has hardly any hair left so bit of luck that one didn't work out!

I have been with DH for 14 yrs and I can honestly say I hope my ex is happy. I very rarely think about him at all.

Mine is dh's ex best friend-for obvious reasons but he's a Dad to 1 and been in a on/off relationship for the last 7 years-hope he is happy though.

My first love is living in Paris with his P and dss. Not totally happily I think, but he is sticking with it for all the right reasons.

We are still devoted to each other, but in a nice zen way.

Two of mine are dead! One is retired after making loads of dosh founding a phamaceuticals business, one is a farmer and very grey haired. One is European director of a large ad agency. the other 34 or so I really don't know about at all.

Mine emailed me through his wife's facebook account the other day to apologise for being a knob (calling me a stupid o clock over and over again years after we split) and hoping we can become 'friends'. Have been with DP nearly nine years so probably 10 yrs+ since I split with this ex. Have concluded my ex is still a tad unstable.

Other exes not sure about but wish them well. If I was pondering I would hope they had a nice partner and little family like me.

I only have 2 exs

The first is now an outrageously camp retauranteur! He figured out he was gay while going out with me (not entirely sure if this is a Good Thing)

The second - have no idea and no interest in knowing!

Occasionally meet up with ex *1 (along with my dh and 3 dcs) for food - he really is a faaaaabulous chef, daahhhhhling!

I always wondered about mine - mainly as he lived on the edge, was very cool, and i was always slightly in awe/intimidated by him. I thought he'd bugger off to ibiza to DJ.

Needless to say, he contacted me a couple of years ago though fb, for me to find he was twice the size, with a lot less hair and was in medical sales. Real life caught up!!

Yes, i have a gay ex, who im still friendly with. He seemed really upset when we finished too! he now tells me of all the boys he fancied in our group when we were still together....

I imagine ex no 1 is still single and living a playboy lifestyle, playing golf and with several girls on the go.

Ex no 2 would probably have married one of his none-too-smart dental nurses (not denigrating the profession in general btw!) which lasted about 18 months.

My gay ex is super fab. He now lives in london and tell me all about the celebrities hes pulled. One was in BB and very much into domination stuff so ive been told. The best ex's are gay ones!
