This is obviously MY problem, I know that but I need to know if anyone else has ever seen red over something so small, does it mean we're heading down a slippery slope?
Its basically the fact that DP pronounces things wrong ALL THE TIME. He says "Sumfink" instead of "something" for instance which just makes me cringe.
The other day we were in the supermarket and he said "I fancy Fajitas for tea" (he actually pronounced it "fajitas" instead of Fa hee tas iyswim?
I've told him so many times how to pronounce it, it just winds me up and makes me think he does it on purpose. I told him "you mean fa he tas?" and he said "yeah, I always say that wrong don't I?" and he picked up the packet thing and said "right, so we have faJitas, what else do we need?"
It does sound petty, I know (hence the name-change) but it drives me ffing nuts. It makes him sound so thick.
Another one is Squidward from spongebob, DP INSISTS on calling it Squidworth. Over and over again, no matter how many times he is told by the kids that its wrong.
The band Evanescence he constantly calls "Evervesence"
It's just everything, all the time. Does he do it on purpose? It's got to the point where I can't contain myself from correcting him all the time which I know makes me look and sound like a complete twat but if the kids can speak properly, why can't he??
