I told dh that I hadn't missed any pills and had got pregnant while I was on the pill. I'd actually stopped taking it 3 months before because although we had decided we wouldn't have children because I didn't want any, I changed my mind. I am not proud that I lied to him but I am glad that I did it.

No, he doesn't know. He always wanted children but I didn't, and then when I raised the subject later on he said he was too old. So I took things into my own hands and in the end it was the right thing to do. In this case what he doesn't know won't hurt him and it's been too long now to own up out of the blue. I'm not proud and I'm not gloating over it.

I'd love another baby and lots of people have suggested I do the same thing (I'm not on the pill, we use comdoms so it would be easy for me to do it) but I really would look as guilty as sin.

I didn't think you were getting at me, emmatmg, I was just trying to explain myself so that I don't look like too much of a calculating bitch. I'm not, really, I just wasn't getting anywhere with trying to talk to him so I took matters into my own hands. I wouldn't recommend it over talking things through but it got me what we both wanted.

I chucked my pills down the loo and when I fell preg with dd said it must've been due to that stomach bug I had a few weeks previously...... don't mind admitting it now as it was with ar*ehole xdh.

i bought a very expensive dressing gown and told DH my mum gave it to me as a present.

on the plus side I still fancy DH loads and we've been together for over 10 years.

On the minus side, i slept with somebody else whilst we were engaged . We were living apart at the time though and it wasn't a big deal. The other guy was engaged too (to somebody else obviously!). And it only happened once and yes it was great sex.

And I told DH I slept with less guys before him that i actually did.

So there you have it!

i told dh (at beginning of relationship, well before he WAS 'dh') that i had slept with FAR fewer men than was truth. -also didnt tell him i was seeing someone else when we met, which was a bit awkward once when he was turning up at block of flats where i lived as other guy was leaving - they must have passed on the stairs!!!! then i had to plead psycho ex when other guy left answer phone messages!!
