anyone had a trial seperation, did it work?

became permanent. But he was also having an affair, which I didn't know about at the time.

Yes DH and l had a trial separation 3 years after we got married.

Our jobs meant we were passing like ships in the night , we spent no time together and our social lives were totally separate.

We argued constantly and couldn't stand being in the same room as him.

We decided to give each other space to think. We had sporadic contact and access arrangements for DD were sorted so that l didn't have to see him every week.

After 3 months we got back together and here we are 20 years later (and DS and DD2.grin.
