Why wouldn't I?

Its only blood.

no thanks

Lauriefairycake Fri 09-Jan-09 15:08:51

the increased blood flow to the area increases the likelihood of horniness (supposedly)

never enough for me to be bothered with the faff though

i just don't have much sensitivity down there during that time of the month and my body is ultra-sensitive. it can actually be a bit uncomfortable during that time.

as a result, my libido drops to nill during that time of the month.

I am always right up for it the day or two before I come ongrin

Ohhh, there was a thread about this a while back. I was roundly hounded out of town by declaring NEVER in a month of Sundays. would I let my old man near me nethers. The Mess!!

Someone on here has a special towel, just for that reason.

You know who you are!!

nappyaddict Fri 09-Jan-09 15:10:57

Only in the shower though.

IwishIwasmoreorganised Fri 09-Jan-09 15:12:12

Just before yes, but during no!

My sex drive (what little I have!) disappears while I have my period and also while I'm pg, and pretty much while I'm bf too! Poor DH - we have 2 ds'2 under 3.5 who have both been bf for 8+ months!

servalanempressoftheuniverse Fri 09-Jan-09 15:12:18

yep, just put a towel down!! I have always been pretty up for it around then...

beanieb Fri 09-Jan-09 15:14:23

yes - I feel extra horny when I have my period but we don't have sex then because i don't like the mess it creats and I can't be arsed with the washing it would take!

Jazzicatz Fri 09-Jan-09 15:14:57

Does it not bothers your partners?????

AnarchyAunt Fri 09-Jan-09 15:17:02

Why would it bother DP???

I am a woman. He knew that when he met me. If men are bothered by it they really should reflect on why the normal physiology of women bothers him.

abitembarrassedtoask Fri 09-Jan-09 15:17:27 hubbie doesn't worry about it at all.i too sometimes do it in the shower to save the mess though.

expatinscotland Fri 09-Jan-09 15:18:06

I had a boyfriend who used to badger me for sex during my period.

I just don't want it then! Not the mess factor, but I just have no libido then and it sort of hurts.

I got sick of his horndog bullshit and dumped him.

Lauriefairycake Fri 09-Jan-09 15:18:09

I guess it would bother a gay man - but they are unlikely to be shagging a woman grin

OsmosisBanana Fri 09-Jan-09 15:19:28

Hmm, I get horny but it grosses both of us out. The mess that is.

However, did get my period on day 1 of our honeymoon... and it then didn't stop for 10 weeks so we kinda had to get over it!

Think maybe we're both a bit traumatised from it tbh grin

abitembarrassedtoask Fri 09-Jan-09 15:19:28

i must admit,i do remember years and years ago with an ex he too didn't mind at all having sex when I was "on".Think I was far more bothered about it then.As I said, now I seem to want it more than ever!

nappyaddict Fri 09-Jan-09 15:20:08

My ex didn't like it because of the mess.

OsmosisBanana Fri 09-Jan-09 15:20:17

lol at horndog.

abitembarrassedtoask Fri 09-Jan-09 15:20:57

anarchyaunt,are you as "old"(?!)as me?

abitembarrassedtoask Fri 09-Jan-09 15:22:41

and you Nappyaddict?

lulabellarama Fri 09-Jan-09 15:22:56

Yes, I am often up for it at that time of the month. And it really doesn't make any mess, you don't actually lose that much blood during menstruation.

expatinscotland Fri 09-Jan-09 15:23:25

he made such an issue out of it, Osmosis.

he just didn't seem to hear me when i said, 'no, because i don't want it and it sort of hurts during that time of the month for me.'

he got all sulky and kept bringing it up.

so i told him to go tell it to the hand, his right one, and take his horndog self the hell away from me.
