Posted the other night asking what people thought were normal etc behaviour! Some of it not quite what I expected but hey ho I did ask!

DH, has continued to be controlling - but did listen to me

When he went shopping he bought lots (and I mean lots of fresh meat) (quite often he buys frozen ready meals, even though he knows I prefer to cook fresh!} HOORAY!!!

Took DD2 shopping yesterday and bought her 2 prs of lovely fitting jeans from Fat face! Cost £24.50 each! I normally would not consider spending this much but DH has wound me up so much that I thought sod him! Plus it was a bit of an extra present for DD as her birthday is on Tuesday!

Then today, think this was my biggest triumph! I thought it was strange that I didn't have all the school/work shirts to iron. Spoke to DH and he admitted that there was one load in tumble whilst other load was still in washing machine!
I went KERBOOMB! in a nice way! Explained to him that he had done 2 darks yesterday!!!! and 2 whites today!!!!! Why not do 1 dark and 1 white yesterday (mainly school/work clothes) and the other 2 loads today!

This is a man who not only has a honours degree but a masters degree too!

Obviously no degree in common sense! As soon as I explained why I went KERBOOMB he understood!!!!

We did have a long long chat, although I am still not happy with the answers at least I know why he is behaving why he does!

Odd that some off this post seems.

DH is normally so controlling it is hard to describe!

DD2 and I had great fun, tried on lots of clothes, and these 2 pairs of jeans just fitted perfectly!

Oh and a lovely pair of trainers!

Sorry - I'm confused.... what's the big deal with the washing? It's washed, it's clean I presume?

If he's so controlling, why are you still with him?

He is controlling, most of the time I let him get on with it! - His problem!!! Every now and then it gets out of hand and I can actually (sounds odd I know!!) prove a point! ie the washing.

Also this evening in one of his controlling ways he thought that he had turned off the multi chef, in fact he had turned off the steamer that was cooking all the vegetables for dinner! Could I shout at him - No I couldn't !

I laughed at him! Told him to leave things alone!

Lewis, its the fact that when I wanted to iron the clothes they were not ready! The darks were but not the whites!

Not sure in your household, but in mine there are alot more whites to iron than darks!

Did not fancy ironing tonight, after cooking a full roast dinner, plus making a lasagne from scratch, also baking a birthday cake for DD2!

No fortunately its nothing like that all!

Its just me revelling in the fact that I spent more than £3.50 on a pair of jeans!

DH, in most ways is ok, e just is very controlling in spending money! So the fact that he spent lots of money buying fresh meat.... WOW!!!

The fact that I bought DD2 2 prs of jeans that cost £24 and he did not explode!

He is lovely but only in small doses I have discovered!
