some of you will know that I have had several 'not my fault' car accidents.

many of you may also know that I have aunty issues (she bought me up) and that she ranted at me about each car accident about exactly why I was there 'just waiting for a car to hit me'........

hmm

well.......

aunty has had a car accident. luckily, thankfully, she is ok. she has whiplash and the car is written off, but she hasn;t suffered sreious injury and for that I am glad.

but

I feel mean.

her DD (my cousin) told her she was stupid to go out driving that day just to be involved in a car crash.

aunty is rather put out by that comment.

I however feel very mean as it made me laugh as I feel as tho aunty has got her 'what goes around comes around'.

please tell me how to stop feeling rather gleeful about that commment as she made me feel so shitty when she said it to me and I feel shitty for knowing that she has had it sais to her, and that is just not right.....

is it????

you can't control feelings. They come and turn up whether you want them or think they are appropriate.

As long as you don't tell her then it isn't mean. Telling her is mean.

You are not mean, probably just feeling slightly vindicated by the fact she has had to listen to the same comment she gave out!
Mean would be if you were glad she had the accident, and that is not the case at all.

Nope I think you should wrap yourself in the gleeful feeling, for just a leeeetle while and enjoy the karma.

Then move on.

grin

oh thank god, I can find it slightly funny that she has raised her DD to be like her then!!!

wink

and then move on.....................

<<<breathe>>>

am having a giggle on your behalf.

like mother like daughter eh? wink

Psychomum5 Sat 26-Jul-08 22:20:04

yep!!!

I am not sure if I find it funny that her DD said it, or that aunty was so bloody ranty about the comment.

aunty never gets that she pisses me off, and yet she gets so pissed about others treating her the same.

ha.........she has raised her daughter wellhmm

grin

grin

she sounds a bit like my mother... thinks she can say whatever she wants to people but can't tolerate the slightest comment in return.

your aunt and cousin deserve each other by the sounds of it!

I bet that at some stage in her rant she said "I would never say something like that to someone else" without any sense of irony whatsoever. grin

Psychomum5 Sat 26-Jul-08 22:54:09

bran, you are completely right!!!!

<<sigh>>

families!!!
