how can i increase my libido?

This is for real. My interest in sex is zero. I adore my dh and still find him sex on legs but i have no desire for sex.

I can think of sex and not be interested. I am seeing my gp on monday but wondered if there is something herbal i can take? I have some in the cupboard that have had no effect in the past.

Our youngest and last child was born 2yrs ago. And was an horrific time. Planned cs was waiting from 7 in morning and finally had her at 3.30pm even tho i was on insulin fro gestational diabetes. lost lots of blood needed a 6 pint transfusion and a 4 pint plasma transfusion. Drain left in for 24 hours but was resting on a nerve whole time so was in absolute agony. Found the recovery took ages and was more painful than any of the others.

But i was sterilised at the same time too if that made it worse?

dh is being so patient but i know its so frustrating for him. Havent had sex in 3 weeks and was 2 months before that. I dont wnt to lose him and i want that closeness back that we had.

Any advice gratefully accepted!

Have name changed for my modesty with rl friends reading.

It could b something to do with being sterilised - don't know much about it but it could have affected your hormones.
My only suggestion is buy some erotica (novels are good!) and try reading a bit, to see if it gets you in the mood.
With regards to sex/closeness, can you talk to DH about how you feel? Why not try going to bed and cuddling, but saying you will not do anythign sexual? you can have a snog and a cuddle without fearing that he will want to take it further (I was afraid to cuddle my DH in bed at times during the 1st trimester, in case he thought sex was on the cards) you may find you getsome closeness back and maybe even a bit of sex drive?

Hi kat

Have tried the cuddling and kissing which inevitably leads to him trying it on. More than obviously with the nudging poke! I have explained to him many times that i love him and i still fancy him just that i dont desire sex.

I have tried reading jackie collins but no luck! He calls that my porn books!

Hopefully the doc can give me something.

Agree witbh mmj, the more you do it, the more you want it.

As well as Nancy Friday, go and try 'Black Lace' or similar, they will have them in most large bookshops. Lots of different scenarios, historic, etc full on lady porn which I have to say I find most effective

If it is really bothering you it certainly wont hurt to go to the GP, but £5.99 on a filthy paperback might work too

I always recommend doing stuff together: jogging, walking, golf, tennis.

Is there a female viagra?
