Hi Freckle. I can't post on my thread!! It just keeps freezing my screen and has done for a couple of days. The last post was a fluke so here's a new one!!
I'm not going to Ibiza I'm going to stay with some friends down south. I think Ibiza will just be too depressing on our own-my family won't even be there. But he's obviously not best pleased. I didn't get any response to the news whatesoever.
DS1 trashed the kitchen again last night. It is absolutely horrific to listen to. There's nothing I can do other than let him get it out of his system. He got an assesment from school yesterday and it was nearly all A5's. (outstanding achievment and effort) So there are luckily no worries there. He just saves it all up for when he gets home. DS2 is starting to be affected. God it's heartbreaking. Feel like phoning him and just holding the phone up to the screaming but what good will that do??? Just make him angry with me coz of his guilt.
Thanks for your mail honey. Will reply today XXXXX

Hi Anorak!! I will be in London from 21st to 23rd (going to Lion King) but actually over Christmas will be in Peterboro'. XXXX

Freckle Tue 23-Nov-04 10:10:31

DS2 is a bit like your DS1 - only it's most of the time and he doesn't have an excuse. We're getting him a punchbag for his birthday in a few weeks' time. He does karate too, so he can use it for that, but also take out his frustration on that, rather than on his brothers.

Have you looked into counselling for DS1? I'm sure your gp might be able to help. Or try here .

He's obviously hurting dreadfully and it makes you want to do something really nasty physically to the person responsible, but that wouldn't solve the problem.

I'm sure it absolutely breaks your heart, not only to witness his trauma, but because there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Huge hugs.

Can you fit in a visit to the anorak family during your trip to London?

I must say I think you are reading h's reactions so well now that you can even anticipate what he would do in a given situation. This can only be to your advantage and demonstrates how far you have come.

Poor ds. Try to bear in mind that he is saving it all for you because at home with you is the only place he feels safe. I agree with freckle about the counselling and the sport.

I won't have time much as I would LOVE to pay a Christmas Anorak family visit!! Literally flying in,theatre, flying out.
Thanks for the support girls. And thanks for the link Freckle. I actually saw this organisation at the beginning and after a very long wait got an appointment for DS1. But I'm ashamed to say I cancelled it. Not only had he calmed down alot but DH went absolutely mad about his darling son being labelled "mad" coz he's seeing a counsellor. At the time I just didn't have the fight in me. What a prize dickhead he is.

spook, can DS1 talk to you at all about how he feels?

"Girl group Sirens brought glamour to the proceedings. Reminiscent of All Saints circa 1997, they boogied down during a three song set, with all the gusto that pretty girls in baggy combats can"

This cheered me up.Especially the 1997 bit!!

Miriam2 Wed 24-Nov-04 09:45:16

Hi Spook, honey - just checking in!

I'm really sorry if this is an inappropriate question, but I have to ask - did your x-pig really sign Prefab Sprout to Kitchenware? One of my favourite bands ever. How the hell did he manage to go from that to those four scrawny slappers?

coppertop Wed 24-Nov-04 22:34:36

Urrgh! They're what my dh would describe as "vacuous bints". Ewww!

spook Thu 25-Nov-04 00:21:19

Hi guys. Yes Moomina. He used to have some integrity. He discovered Prefab Sprout and The Daintees amongst others. Oh how the mighty have fallen!!
Hi W&R hunny. Hows it hangign?/

moomina Thu 25-Nov-04 07:12:36

Well, that collapse in standards alone is proof to me that the man has LOST HIS MIND...

Hope you're hanging in there. You sound a bit cheerier. Sorry I haven't been around much but things have been very full-on here - I've had to go (almost) cold turkey from MN for a few days. Almost, but not quite...

spook Thu 25-Nov-04 07:15:06

Well it's lovely to have you back honey. Hope everythings alright??((())))

Clayhead Thu 25-Nov-04 07:16:10

moomina Thu 25-Nov-04 07:37:21

Yeah, just...nothing I can't handle with a bottle of wine and a permanent rictus grin plastered across my face, I guess. (Like that!)

Off to work now but will catch up later. Keep going, mate xxxx

spook Thu 25-Nov-04 07:42:53

Morning Clayhead! Feel like I've got a clayhead this morning.

WideWebWitch Thu 25-Nov-04 07:46:49

Oh no Spook, none of them are (is? hey, the grammar curmudgeons couldn't even agree on that one recently!) over 23!!! Ffs. How predictable of your H.
