Supporting children through divorce(1 Post)
Can anyone offer some insight? My daughter is really struggling. Only child, 9 years old. The spilt came out the blue, her dad cheated with an old girlfriend. We had what appeared to be a settled, happy family life. Now it's shattered. 6 months in she just won't accept it. Hates her life, wants to live as a family. Wants him to move back in. She knows about the other woman. It's just such an awful situation. She cannot talk to her dad, can't really talk to friends. She talks to me sometimes very angry and emotional, I'm trying to be reassuring but she's worried her dad will move away. The woman lives in a different town. It's just so upsetting to see. And emotionally draining. What can I do to make her feel better?
