What a joke the police are

Police haven’t arrested my ex husband.
They’ve just seen him and praised him apparently for getting counselling and living apart. Wow what a hero hey.

He’s promised the world these last few days. Failed to deliver though and changed his mind on a fundamentally life changing sum of money he got us into.

I have no choice but to be with him. If I split up he’ll get the children on his own and abuse them. Being with him is the only way I can assure they’re safe.
What a truly fucked up system

So sorry to hear you've been through this. The police can be awful. Flowers Flowers Flowers

What’s he done?

can't see what the police have done

however you are giving in because you believe he will gain full residency of the kids ?

You’re not living with him though?

What’s he done?

Why wouldn’t you have shared care of the children?

You’re conflating several issues and your post is unclear.

I’m going to give in because he’ll probably get them 50/50 won’t he. He comes across so well. That means 50% of their lives theyll be exposed to abuse. Controlling. Manipulative. Narcissistic. He hurts them when they’re not conforming to his ever evolving standards. He smokes lots of weed.

What were the police supposed to have arrested him for and why didn’t they?

Did they “praise” him or is that your h’s version?

AnneLovesGilbert · 28/05/2020 23:04

Why would they have arrested him?

He hurt our daughter. And has been very emotionally abisive to me too. He has a violent past too.

He told me that’s what happened with the police. Just want to run away with the children tbh.

So he injured your daughter, you called the police and they didn’t arrest him?

Has he been arrested before?

speak to them yourself and dont assume 50/50 means they are with him 50 of the time!!

your attitude seems to be the problem not the police

My mother once told me about a story regarding an incident with a policeman painting me in a bad light. Several weeks later I went into the police station and asked about and got the truth which was opposite to what she said. You need to talk to the police yourself. Staying with him is not the answer.

Just because that's what he told you, doesn't necessarily mean that's what happened

You need to speak to woman's aid.
They can hell you and your children get to safety.
How did he hurt your daughter?

Report
TheOrigBrave · 28/05/2020 23:22

OP, you seem upset (understandably so).
It would help readers if you could explain more clearly what's happened - maybe in order of events.
Does he have a police record?
Why do you think you would share residency of the children?
There IS help for you and your children.

Has he lost a massive amount of money?

Please ring the police and ask for an explanation. You need protecting.

So has anyone made an allegation to police about your daughter being hurt?

Either you or your daughter.

What have police actually been told?

Report
GilbertMarkham · 28/05/2020 23:29

He hurt our daughter.

Was that reported?

Is he smoking weed while supervising (even partly) the kids - has thstbvern reported?

Have you spoken to women's aid much/at all?

Even 50 50 - if he's s dope head ... He'll probably not bother his arse even turning up/taking them must if the time.
