Socially distanced date

Would this be wrong? It's meeting with only one person, so surely within the rules. It's a first date, so won't really want to touch each other anyway.

Depends what you are doing on the date, if outdoors the risks are lower, but, safety could be an issue as this is a stranger, so if you are keeping away from the public to reduce covid risk, you are taking a risk in other ways with someone you don't really know. It's also a fake and awkward setup so would you really be able to judge how each other are in normal circumstances. The more I analyse it, the less I see it as achieving anything and might as well stick to online chat for now.

I can't see anything wrong with it as long as you are somewhere with people around (obviously all socially distancing) for safety.
I think it would be a nice thing to do to get to know each other.

Sounds ok to me.

I would say it's fine if you go to the park and sit and chat, maybe bring coffee and snacks with you. If you are inviting him round your house, or you to his, but planning on staying 2 metres apart, then I think it's more of an issue both in terms of Covid but also general safety risks.

I think meeting at the park or similar, having agreed to each take your own flask and snacks might be quite nice. Far less pressured than a lot of first dates in pubs etc that I've been on!

Sorry, there was an assumption in my post about the date being a he. Read as her / him and hers / his.

I think it’s absolutely fine. It’s presumably going to be in a public place?

Though I’d struggle with maintaining distance if I was really feeling it and wanted to kiss them.
