the budget for the hall was £500

100 people will be invited

we will cater for 80,

plus £50 for doorman and £90 liscensing fee = £506!

DJ is goingt to be my dads best mates girlfriend for free!

and bar will be BYO.

Balloons will be done by my family in the morning,£50 for 100 ballooons + 2 x helium canisters on ebay.

Not bothering with flowers in the hall.

Just a few boquets made by us.

You can have mulled wine to warm the guests - and carols as hymns-
what a lovely time of the year to marry

still a bit miffed though! Christmas is busy enough without this! :S

are you still getting married in church- or having civil ceremony at the hall?

Report
kitsandbits · 03/09/2007 09:37

it wont cost much more - just £60 'donation'

We wont bother with flowers as Im pretty sure with it being Dec 22nd there will be deccies up!

and no 'organist' just CD player i think! lol

I dunno, my MIL booked the church and the priest just asks for a £60 donation.

We arent having any decorations or anything.

IIRC Kits is Catholic, most Catholic churches that I know of do not ask for large sums of money.

Report
BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 03/09/2007 09:44

Phew

Just make sure you never, ever, lend her money again.

tiredemma · 03/09/2007 09:44

When dh and I booked the church for our wedding, all we were asked for was a donation.
That was Catholic.

kitsandbits · 03/09/2007 09:46

Yup, Catholic here too,

I think I might have to pay to have the heating on too as its December, lol

Anyway sorry to hijack a bit there.

Once again a big congratulations, I'm sure it will all be perfect

Lol, No worries.

My only concern is the photos,

I mean its going to be Dark at 3.30!

I wanted a late wedding to avoid the reception, but looks like it will ahve to be about 2 ish - meaning were going to be in limbo for a bit as party starts at 7pm
