Good job there are people here to support the posters then.

Well I suppose if your relationship's going well there's not much to write about!

well if things are going well, you don't shout it from the rooftops
when things are bad you often need moral support and advice

carolcoles Thu 30-Aug-07 20:18:26

You'd look a bit of a twat starting a post "god my life is awsome!!!"

RubySlippers Thu 30-Aug-07 20:19:03

not always depressing either
i think some of those threads show MN at its best
offers of practical help, lots of compassion, sometimes arse kicking

I know what you mean sleepfinder.

I assume you mean depressing like ... very very sad..., because you are empathising?

It is awful to think there are so many unhappy people out there.

Thank god at least some of them have somewhere they can let it out, maybe get some advice - or perspective grin and sometimes, some really good practical aid

AND a shoulder to cry on and the feeling of not being so alone, maybe finding someone who's been through it.

So yes, it does make you feel bad to think of the pain some people are going through.
