DH claims to have a booked a hotel room for his male friend for tonight (friend travelled over last month, stayed one night couple weeks ago). He went straight from work to meet friend and go out for dinner. Came home just before 1am to drop their leftovers and then left to say he staying at hotel with friend. I think that’s odd. What you guys think?

It's not necessarily odd, I think it depends on the circumstances.. we're they planning on going back out for a while? Is there anything else which makes you question it? Are you happy with him to stay there?

avamiah Sat 24-Aug-19 03:05:32

If you think it is odd then it is .

ceme Sat 24-Aug-19 03:08:59

Yeh it’s odd. Why would you stay in a hotel with a friend when your home is close by? Am tempted to go to the hotel.

avamiah Sat 24-Aug-19 03:10:38

ceme,
But he told you the hotel ?

Aquamarine1029 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:16:04

It's not odd, it's fucking ridiculous. He's having a sleepover? With an adult male friend in a hotel near where you live? Really? That's the bullshit excuse he's going with? He must think you are very stupid.

ceme Sat 24-Aug-19 03:24:31

He did not tell me the hotel. I found the details in his email. 1 room, 2 adults. He has only said he is staying with his friend but no mention that his friend is booked into a hotel.

VikVal Sat 24-Aug-19 03:27:35

Very odd like, wtf? Odd...if I had confirmation of the hotel I would go to the hotel! See what he is up to! That's just me though.

avamiah Sat 24-Aug-19 03:28:38

ceme,
I don’t know what to say to you to be honest .

Sally2791 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:29:07

I would go to the hotel and take him clean underwear. Of course it’s odd

Monty27 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:31:02

I would go too.

Whattodo20192 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:31:12

What would you do at the hotel? If they're in a room you won't see them anyway

ceme Sat 24-Aug-19 03:31:21

Ok but how do I find out the room number?

NotRamona Sat 24-Aug-19 03:32:18

It’s not odd it’s obvious

Monty27 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:34:01

There's too many questions to ask.
I hope it's two old mates wanting to chat and nothing else.

cargghkkk Sat 24-Aug-19 03:36:22

Do you know what car his friend has? To see if it's in the car park?

Sparklfairy Sat 24-Aug-19 03:39:38

Is it a double or twin Room?

ceme Sat 24-Aug-19 03:39:43

Friend has no car. DH left his car at home.

Aquamarine1029 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:41:26

Your husband is up to no good. This is preposterous.

GirlRaisedInTheSouth Sat 24-Aug-19 03:43:01

Ring the hotel and ask to be put through to him. Tell Reception it's an emergency. When he answers, tell him to put his friend on the line IMMEDIATELY or you're calling in divorce lawyers.

That's what I would do.

LorelaiRoryEmily Sat 24-Aug-19 03:43:14

I'd be going to the hotel. That is crazy.

Emily312 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:48:19

When they dropped over the leftovers (which is weird ) did you see said friend?

Why didn't the friend just stay at your place again?

It is odd but I would've just said to my other half that it doesn't make any sense and see what he says.

cheesewitheverything Sat 24-Aug-19 03:49:27

So, what do you think he is doing, ceme? Do you usually not trust him or think he is lying?

Monty27 Sat 24-Aug-19 03:49:34

You can't get through by phone to the room unless you know who's name it's booked under. If you know that ask for the direct number and the extension will indicate the room number
