I love him but I like someone else

I’m 17 and have been with my boyfriend for just over 4 years. The relationship has been so up and down. We used to cosntantly argue, not so much anymore. I used to pine after him and he didn’t show me any attention. Because of the arguments we went on a break , not for long at all. During this time I met up a couple of times with someone else, quite a lot older. Nothing happened but intentions were there and it definitely could have happened. After this I told my boyfriend we can no longe eve together and ended it. But he begged me not to end it, I agreed to get back together. Since then I have told the other man we can no longer speak. We haven’t , but I can’t stop thinking about him at all and I’m feeling like the lust and spark has gone with my boyfriend. But now after me trying to end it, my boyfriend has completely changed and is now so clingy and wants to see me 24/7. He can sense a change in me and says he knows I don’t love him anymore. I love him. But I like someone else. What do I do? I feel like I can’t end it with him because it will hurt him so much. And, I worry that I could be making a mistake?
