Hello,

New here and just looking for advice on what site or app to use for meeting like minded single people.

I like the countryside and outdoors lifestyle. Not into drinking or clubbing and am pretty much into health and fitness. I am 36. Should i say 'Looking for a relationship' on my profile or does it come across desperate because i am not desperate for sure.

I have tried Muddy Matches but everyone is like 50 miles away which is too far to meet a complete stranger.

I have tried POF, Match, E Harmony and Okcupid but again no one local. Even Meetup is poor in my area. I have tried and tried but bored and frustrated with it now.

I think the bottom line is i don't enjoy dating online or offline and it feels rather artificial. I would just like to meet someone naturally to share similar things with and see where things went naturally.

I did POF and met my partner on there. I had a few dates with others and chatted to loads first though and it took two years to find the right man for me. POF was very popular in my area though and lots of people nearby using it.
I think if you live somewhere remote it's going to be the same with all sites and you're either going to have to travel or they will have to come to you or meet halfway.

I live in Suffolk so quite remote. When i did POF i got most interest from London but would often say meet half eay but few were prepared to do this.

Walking groups, join the Young Farmers ( not sure of average age group ) volunteer at your local wildlife trust - they will be doing loads of stuff outdoorsy.

Just a thought but has anyone used Instagram or Twitter for meeting people i.e following interests etc? Not sure how it would work but thought got to be better than using the dreaded dating sites. I only have Instagram for business use so i suppose would have to make a seperate account.

My friend said the Bumble app crashes constantly, or doesn't load at all. I think outdoor activity holidays sound the best for you.
