Is any one dating a dwarf?

Ok, here’s my dilemma, I am widowed and I have 4 kids. I recently started dating a colleague, everything is great, when we are alone everything is perfect. The thing is he’s a dwarf. He’s 4’6” and I’m a foot taller. Wherever we go people stare and it makes me really uncomfortable. Will I be able to get over this? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

If you like him enough then it shouldn’t matter.

Moolimoo Thu 24-May-18 21:41:26

I want it to not matter, but I do feel awkward sad

TaggieRR Thu 24-May-18 21:41:38

Only you know how you feel!

If he can tell you’re embarrassed to be seen with him then you’d be doing him a favour by ending it.

This is a test for your ego.

If you like him it shouldn't matter. You're with him. You don't even know the people staring. Why should what they think matter?

Moolimoo Thu 24-May-18 21:46:21

I just hate being the subject of whispers and stares

SneakyGremlins Thu 24-May-18 21:47:07

One of my best mates is a dwarf. I forget usually, I don't notice his height anymore. I got used to it.

WombOfOnesOwn Thu 24-May-18 21:47:50

Hello, Daily Mail, these headlines are getting more and more obvious as solicitations of free "true life" new news stories.

MycatsaPirate Thu 24-May-18 21:47:52

The only thing you should feel is outrage for the stares and whispers. No one should be judged on how tall they are, how they look, what they look like. If you like him then you'll get used to the height difference. But please don't drag things out with him if you think it's going to be a major issue.

DontDrinkDontSmoke Thu 24-May-18 21:49:26

Is dwarf the correct term? 4’6” isn’t that short.

boatass Thu 24-May-18 21:49:54

grin

Noqont Thu 24-May-18 21:51:48

Would you give up the chance to be with someone you really liked because of whispers and stares? I wouldn't. It would be better to find a way to deal with the arseholes that clearly have nothing going on in their lives but to stare at others who are clearly happy.

Hi

Im not dating a dwarf but i am married to man shorter than me. I am 5'10 and he is 5'5.
Its bothered me our whole relationship bit not enough to end things.
I have become accustomed to never wearing heals again though!
I also wouldnt do a first dance at our wedding either.. (amongst other reasons too)
I say crack on... you will soon get used to it and feck what others think!

Google 'Peter Dinklage wife'. If she can manage, I'm sure you can too.

NotUmbongoUnchained Thu 24-May-18 21:54:01

Peter Dinklage is hot too.

SneakyGremlins Thu 24-May-18 21:55:08

Umbongo, you're drunk grin

Moolimoo Thu 24-May-18 21:55:33

I have repeatedly googled it 😂

NotUmbongoUnchained Thu 24-May-18 21:55:56

I am doooo drunk

Moolimoo Thu 24-May-18 21:57:47

Peter Dinklage is hot!

Noqont Thu 24-May-18 21:59:31

Singlenotsingle Thu 24-May-18 22:00:24

Why does the DM always have to get dragged in?

NotUmbongoUnchained Thu 24-May-18 22:00:45

He is!

HRTpatch Thu 24-May-18 22:00:46
