Basically decided to get my Mum a designer handbag for her birthday.

Unfortunately I know absolutely naff all about brands and quality (I'm more of a rucksack women myself).

I want to spend in the region of £200-£250. In afraid of getting ripped off so I thought I'd pop the feelers out to see what you guys recommend.

I don't want to pay a good price for a handbag and only be paying for the name if you know what I mean. I'm extremely unknowledgeable about this area.

Help me please 😔😄

Fossil do great handbags, good quality, classic designs within that price range.

Might be better off asking for this to be moved to Style and Beauty. These guys are better at relationship advice!

How about Coach or Osprey? Both would have some really nice choices in your price range, either something smaller from the main range or something bigger in the sale, and are lovely quality. I like these:

Or you could go small but gorgeous and get something like this - it’s a little over budget but I love it so thought I’d mention it just in case - www.mulberry.com/gb/shop/women/sale/sale-purses/continental-clutch-oxblood-natural-grain-leather

What about a Michael Kors - Mercer Embossed-Leather Tote ? Or the Jet Set Travel Medium Saffiano Leather Top-Zip Tote ??

Does she actually like designer handbags? If so, I'd find out what designers specifically (she'll have one or two that she probably really likes) and then go speak to someone in the shop to get an idea of what might be in your price range. I think handbags are really individual, like jewellery and if you don't know what she likes, I probably wouldn't just take a stab in the dark in case she hates it. It's a lot of money to spend unless you know she'll love it.

Thanks for your suggestions all 😊

She isn't a 'label' lady but I know the colour and style she likes.

In that price range I would (and have, twice!) go for Coach. Also, check out the Outnet - some absolute horrors but also some real bargains.
