Well guess who feels like am idiot today? Yep that would be me.
I foolishly yet again thought that I meant more to someone than I did and it feels like a knife has been plunged in my heart.

We've been on dates, slept together, went away for the weekend and guess what I wake up to this morning, loads of pics of him and another woman on holiday a few months ago, the same holiday he told me he was going to with his friends.

I feel like such a fool, I knew deep down it wasn't going to go anywhere, but I wanted it, i really did now I'm sat at work trying to hold back the tears and trying not to call him.

Oh gosh sad sounds horrible. Glad you found out sooner rather than later. How long were you dating?

MyfatheristheKing Tue 07-Nov-17 11:42:05

Don’t waste anymore tears on this lying cheating excuse for a man!!

You will be better off without him! Block him everywhere and don’t contact him. You deserve better.

Ineedmorelemonpledge Tue 07-Nov-17 11:51:52

Only you saw the pics but are you sure it wasn’t a female friend?

I had a male friend I’d go traveling with a lot before we both got married. Even when I was pregnant with DS we attended a wedding together and shared a room. It was completely innocent - he was a best friend from Uni for over 18 years?

If not I’m sorry OP. Must be like a punch in the stomach. flowers

I've known him 8 years and we've been dating for about 6 months.

hellsbellsmelons Tue 07-Nov-17 11:54:33

That's not nice at all.
Please block him on everything.
Phone, all social media, email...
You'll be too tempted if you keep details.
But you found out before it got really serious.
Keep busy and look after yourself.
Cry when you get home later.

Jenala Tue 07-Nov-17 11:55:50

Was it just him and the other woman on holiday, or was she one of a group?

TheStoic Tue 07-Nov-17 11:55:54

How did you get to see the pictures?

Don’t call him. It will only make you feel worse, because nothing he can say will erase what he’s done.

Wineclubsmynewhobby Tue 07-Nov-17 11:56:33

No she's definitely not a friend, I glanced at a message he sent her when we went away for the weekend then she called him and they had a bit of an argument which je tried to pass off as being his mum.

I knew but I just didn't want to know and I couldn t really say anything until I had proof, well now I have.

SomePpl Tue 07-Nov-17 11:57:12

That's Terrible. What an arse, I'm so sorry. If he's known you for 8 years and can do that then he is a terrible person. You deserve more.

Wineclubsmynewhobby Tue 07-Nov-17 12:02:47

As far as I could see there were 3 of them.
I saw some pictures when he posted them ages ago and there were little indicators of a woman ie a towel, beachbag that type of thing. I even asked him did he go with a woman and he told me no. Then this morning he posted a picture with the both of them and a video of him and you can clearly hear she's the one videoing it.

Bluntness100 Tue 07-Nov-17 12:03:35

Were you seeing him when he went on holiday with her? A few months ago is quite vague.

Bluntness100 Tue 07-Nov-17 12:04:29

And who was the third person?

TheStoic Tue 07-Nov-17 12:05:04

Why would he post them? Is this his way of dumping you, or is he an idiot?

Bluntness100 Tue 07-Nov-17 12:08:09

I agree, it makes no sense that he would Post them if he was cheating.

Wineclubsmynewhobby Tue 07-Nov-17 12:08:22

He went away the beginning of September, so yes I was seeing him then and the other person was a male friend who I do know.

Didn't want to read and run wineclubsmynewhobby flowers

Maybe you would like to join us girls on the 30 day no contact thread. It has been a life saver for me and getting over someone.

Sending you lots of strength

Wineclubsmynewhobby Tue 07-Nov-17 12:12:58

I don't know why he would post them, most of his pics are of him his dcs and his friends, there's maybe one or two women but it's usually in a group setting.

Also the message I saw was of him asking why she had blocked him on Instagram and her replying that they always argue over it, so maybe they were arguing because he hasn't put up any pics of her and this was his way of showing her that he cares? I don't know, but he also must have forgotten that I'm on it aswell so will see it.

user1495451339 Tue 07-Nov-17 12:39:14

You haven't made a fool of yourself, he has!!! He is a grown up with children and he is two-timing women like he some kind immature teenager and then letting you know on social media. He doesn't come across as a decent person and it is best you know now so you can avoid in future.

LagunaBubbles Tue 07-Nov-17 12:51:04

Him posting the pictures is a really strange thing to do, but regardless time to dump and block him.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Tue 07-Nov-17 12:54:51

Well, it's pretty obvious who the fool is here, and it certainly isn't you !
Block him, what is there to talk about, you are not about to do the pick me dance are you ?, because you deserve far better than him.
It may hurt, but luckily for you, you've found him out. 🌺🍷🍷🍷

NachoAddict Tue 07-Nov-17 12:55:46

It would be stupid of him to post the pictures if he were seeing you both. I think I would actually ask him about her. Also it was hardly romantic with a third person.

whiskyowl Tue 07-Nov-17 12:55:52

Horrible behaviour from him. I'm so sorry wine

bufin Tue 07-Nov-17 13:01:47

The only way you would be a fool is if you carry on seeing him.

He's just a lying ratbag and now you know it.

EmNetta Tue 07-Nov-17 13:04:50

What a good idea dolly - wish this had been around years ago, when I needed similar support.

OP, I'm so sorry this has happened, but this one's really no loss and I'm sure you'll be able to do much better next time. ( And maybe post a photo too?)
