I am going thru a divorce at the moment and have started a new relationship with someone else. My ex has recently found out about this and called me to say 1) My new partner is a c* and 2) If my eldest son knew about it and didn't tell him, that he shouldn't bother to contact his dad again because he should have told him !..

This is causing real problems and I'm so concerned about the position my son has been put into

Protect your son at all costs - especially from what his dad has said even if he did know.

At the end of the day you are getting divorced. It is not like you have cheated!

No wonder you are divorcing this dictatorial control freak. Even though you are divorcing him, he still wants you to do as he says and is going to use your son as a weapon against you. What!!!!
If you are being careful not to rush into anything and realise full well that this new relationship may crumble, but your son will always be part of your life and you are being respectful and sensitive to his feelings...then your STBX can forget it.
The most healthy divorce is where parents still speak and are reasonable and put their children first. They also need time to adjust and to the situation. So let your Ex fume but try and remain calm and continue to be polite. Just go carefully with your new relationship and be aware of your childrens' feelings. I certainly wouldn't convey any messages from your ex to him. Let him do his own dirty work.

I agree to protect your son.
But your STBEx is an controlling cunt of the highest order.
Do NOT rise to the bait.
Just ignore him.
He can't cause issues if you ignore.
Does he have a current GF?
Get that divorce finalised asap!
