Separated for 9 months. Thought I would try OLD. I was with my STBXH for 17yrs so all very new to me.

First guy unfortunately a narcissist. On and off for 6 months, then he dropped and blocked me when he'd finished playing games with me.

Next guy I started chatting to was my window cleaner 🙈, we got on really well for a few days chatting, then that stopped...maybe because it was a bit awkward and he knew STBXH as well.

Then there was sexy guy who lived locally. Chatted for a couple of days on line, I then gave him my number, he said it's been lovely chatting, thanks for your number I'll text you tomorrow...tomorrow never came!!

Now I have been chatting to a guy for a couple of weeks. He then told me the other night that I'm not really his type so it won't go any further. He prefers petit ladies with small boobs apparently, whilst I'm tall, rather curvy with v big boobs, which it does say on my profile page, minus the big boobs comment, although you can plainly see from my pics that they're not small -Ecup-.

Not to mention the endless number of men just after one thing.

Sorry for long post but I feel like I'm gonna be single forever!

You are definitely not alone! I've given up on OLD after a summer of pretty grim dates.

I came across this today

He was on that celebrity go dating programme. I'll probably give his website a look when I'm ready to try OLD again. Good luck. flowers

I am same position although haven't even started. 17 years with STBXH and I have looked at some OLD sites but not subscribed to any yet.
How do you meet people now? I feel like I work all the time or am looking after dd
Which OLD sites are actually worthwhile if any? I tried to start a conversation but couldn't find the dating thread

9 months isnt that long especially if you had a relationship in that time.

Try not to focus on if they like you and work out if they are suitable for you.
Do you enjoy being single?

Thanks for the replies.

Just seen the messages as I ended up in a&e last night with DS1 as he had an asthma attack bless him. At his put thing into perspective though that my DC are my overall priority and stop messing around on dating sites.

I don't like being single at all, so perhaps I am coming across as desperate? I know I need to enjoy me time and have fun with my kids before thinking about a relationship.

I think I will delete my OLD accounts for now.
