Don't you just hate it when...

Don't you just hate it when you put a lot of effort into something and your partner says "don't worry, let's forget it and do x instead".

In this case i spent a lot of time taking and prepping a really nice photograph for someone's ID and my partner and when I mention that it has taken quite a bit of unexpected work suggests they just go to a photo booth instead. I think the time to say that is before the work started not when it is almost finished.
