'Guys are gonna fuck you and leave you not give you love as your ugly'

Said by ex who apparently loved me for nearly 7 years of being with me and just broke off with me recently

I wouldn't react. Ignore and move on.

As fairgame says pay no attention to it - sounds like he's being bitter about the split and trying to be hurtful for the sake of being hurtful. He was with you seven years, so clearly his actions do not fit his words.

What a charmer! Hardly a very beautiful person himself if he can come out with gems like that.

Try and ignore and move on - difficult I know but anyone who can say something like that to a partner they spent 7 yrs with is really not worthy of any attention.

Must of had something special about you too keep him with you for 7 years.

He wants a reaction from you, you give a reaction shows you care. Ignore the tosspot.

He sounds thick as shit. Absolutely dumb. Pathetic. It's laughable.

I would think he is a cruel, horrible person who is trying to sabotage your future happiness and you had a lucky escape. Cut off contact. His opinion of you is irrelevant. Best of luck for the future.

Don't believe anything anyone tells you especially from a psychological jealous misfit. I used to have all sorts of little remarks said to me by the ex. Then when I went out on the dating scene again and I was amazed at how many compliments came my way. It is a revelation when you have been devoid of compliments for a long period. .
Get out there dating and flirting. its fucking great.

I would react by saying "I wish you had!". Please just ignore, you are so much better off without someone like him.

Report
mysinkingheart · 18/04/2017 12:25

He can't stand the idea of you being with someone else imo.

Would be tempted to say "That's great news, can't wait to get back out dating again, the more the merrier!".
He's toxic.

Obviously though, the smart response is a resounding silence or a minimalist "stop texting me I have nothing to say to you and will no longer reply".
Or if it's face to face "well that was nasty, glad I'm free to meet someone nice now".
And you areWink

I would correct his apostrophes and send it back. That'd teach him.

What a stupid fucker.

Any reply would show you're bothered. Block & move on

I would probably chunter in my head for about 48 hours, but my overriding feeling would be 'thank fuck I am no longer married to that thick dipstick'.

He sounds like a sad, bitter, pathetic loser. Ridiculous statements like that don't even deserve a response.

Chops2016 · 18/04/2017 14:46

Says more about him than you if thats how he thinks about women.

He's obviously gunning for a reaction. Don't give him the satisfaction, just ignore.

It's not true though, not remotely. You are not ugly. I can say that without even knowing what you look like. That's because beauty is entirely in the eyes of the beholder and frankly, inner beauty carries far more weight and has far more longevity than the physical kind. Look around you. You will see people of all shapes and sizes, some who fit your idea of beautiful and some who don't. There will be no connection between how they look and whether they are in a quality, loving relationship though.

Forget about your ex, you're well rid. Love yourself and you will find love.

He sounds like an absolute treat. Don't give his words a second thought. What a dick. An insecure one at that. He obviously can't stand himself. You know this.

Report
tinglyfing · 18/04/2017 17:05

Sounds to me like he's not sure he's doing the right thing by breaking up with you - he's trying to stop you going off with someone else and keep you dangling.

Ah well he's fucked that then hasn't he, because you won't piss on him if he's on fire now!!

Report
Guiltypleasures001 · 18/04/2017 17:13

Just because someone says something doesn't make it true op, what is true is his need to instil in you a Sense of inadequacy, which if left to fester becomes self fulfilling.

He wants to make sure you don't meet anyone else, especially someone who deserves you and treats you right, it's a dick move, from someone who is a dick. 💐

I would guess he's finally expressing his emotion! As above have said. I would block (on all social media accounts) and move on. Never another word shared. Good luck in the hunt for a replacement unit (if/when you're ready)

He's nothing but an immature fool.
