Relationships

I want to leave him.

Me and my partner have been very rocky recently and as the title suggests I've had enough. I'm not sure I want to leave for good but I definitely want him to know I'm serious about things changing. Every time we argue he tells me to leave then tells me I have no where to go. And it's true. I have nowhere to go :( I've been looking at hotels to go and stay in but I don't know if I'm being stupid. We just seen to argue more than we get along at the moment and it's really getting me down. The only people around us are his family and I can't exactly ask his mum if I can stay there for a night or so! I also don't want to go back to my mum's as she would give me the "I told you so" conversation. She told me it won't work out etc. I don't know, I just think the relationship has hit an all time low and he needs a shock to realise and make a change! I suppose I just want some advise or experience if anyone has felt like this and where to go?!

Why do you have to go, are you living in his property?

He sounds like an arsehole by the way.

It is our house but I don't work and he pays all the bills. Every time we argue he throws it back in my face that he pays for everything and I'm dead ungrateful! I'm really not though. I did chicken and chips for tea the other night as I wasn't feeling well and don't you just know I heard about how shit tea was for the rest of the night!

He's a wanker. Don't leave the property, it's your house too. Start divorce proceedings and look into getting what's yours.

It won't get better.

Do you own the house or are you renting?

We only rent and were not married thank goodness!! Perfect example has just happened... he was on the sofa with our daughter and she went backwards and I said watch her she's on the edge and he said I know and I said she's going to fall... he said that he's got her and called me a moron... went on to say he knows how to parent I don't need to tell him etc

Could you try telling mum that she was right all along and how you wished you'd listened to her? (swallow your embarrassment)
