If you've been assaulted how can you prove it was him

Husband assaulted me tonight. I bled on my pillow but he stripped it. He tried to lock me in the house but I managed to squeeze through a window. No neighbour answered my call and didn't want to go into the local pub in my nightgown. I am hesitant to call the police because of SS and what it entails, I'm caught in that middle class fucking hook. What do I do. He now says I have no proof.

Ring the police, did you take your mobile with you? Do you have dc in the house?

Gingerbread I think you have to call the police sweetie. Do you have any bruises on you? They will believe you, proof or otherwise.

What is your concern with SS? I have had involvement with them and they were really lovely

Where are you now? Please go to the police.

As far as proof goes, they may be able to establish that from your injuries, but more importantly, they will help keep you safe now.

You won't need proof. Call the police please, now, before this escalates. He needs removing from your home

Call the police. If you don't have a phone, can you get to any shops or restaurants that are open?

Do you think you'd have to prove you'd been mugged or assaulted in a dark street if you called the police about that? People don't generally call the police to report random shit that didn't happen to them. You need to report what has happened, not prove it. That is not your job.

Sweetheart, please, please call the police. They have people who handle domestic violence and are well acquainted with how abusers work. Those marks on your knees are proof. Even if you wait until he leaves, please call them. This is so important, things can't go on like this.
