Just a rant. STBX and I told the kids y'day we are getting divorced. They were devastated. He also told me yesterday all about his new girlfriend. there are no hard feelings-it's been over between us for a while.

He was like a bouncy puppy with relief after we'd told the kids. They and I were all over the place with grief

While we were doing tea, he asked me what shoe size I was and if I could lend my hiking boots to his new GF. WTAF? I genuinely didn't know whether to laugh or cry. We've just blown the kids lives apart and now he wants me to lend my hiking boots to his new girlfriend?

My mother said that she seriously wonders if part of his brain is missing. I think she's got a point.

He is taking up with a women who doesn't have her own hiking boots......

Do not mend her yours, they are my most comfortable shoes and I won't let anyone wear min.
Silly man, she will hate it.

So sad for you as he sounds like he does indeed not seem to be thinking with his brain.

What the actual fuck?

I would have told him to fuck right off. Unless I had itching powder, then I would have smiled so sweetly it could cause diabetes and said 'of course, I'll get them for you'

He is clearly a freak who you are better off without, why doesn't he know your shoe size (which is probably about the same number as his mental age) and as if his new bit would want to borrow his ex wife's hiking boots..... Dick, I wouldn't worry too much op sounds like he will be single again very soon.

Actually sat here with my mouth wide open! Can't believe he asked that.

I think I agree with your mother!

Your poor kids.

Brain dead pillock is about right

To be fair, there were better times. I just have to try and manage an exit that does the minimal damage to the poor kids. It's not their fault.
