What make it so easy for some people to cheat?

I've had this twice now, once with exH and once with current husband (and with boyfriends before).

They are simultaneously sexting someone else while having a text/email conversation with me about how much they love me/whats for dinner etc.

How can you switch between the two so easily? Telling a bit on the side that you want to fuck them, even that you love them at the same time as telling your wife that you love her, can't wait to get home etc?

Idiot has left the iPad laying around so i can see he is messaging us both at the same time.

Just like you switch from swimming to cycling in a triathlon.

Men & woman lacking in a moral compass, will blow smoke up anyone's arse, let them hear what they want to hear, just for their own benefit & gain.
Just like you'd switch a convo from say Mum to Dad, a cheat can effortlessly switch between people they are cheating on

I honestly don't have the mental capacity for all that. I have such a busy life I think to add on extra hard work you must be getting a massive thrill from it, which I don't

No empathy for the other on both sides.
The thrill of it all
Being charming to another and it's new and exciting to them regardless how short lived it maybe.

Do you think he left the iPad lying out to be caught out. As most when embarking on an affair hide their phone, lock their phones down along with other gadgets.

I'm sorry you found this OP.
It's crap and you've been there before.
Unfortunately some people just like the thrill of it all.
The ego boost, the attention, the danger, etc....
I couldn't be arsed.
It's hard enough keeping 1 relationship going without adding to it.
I really hope you get it all sorted out quickly.
It must be hell for you right now.
As it's happened before I assume you know what you are doing but if you need any support then do come back.

I have to admit I'm perplexed on this one, especially when I've know men who have imo, basic communication skills, and have later found out from partners/wives, they have been texting /sexting / having an affair with another woman, it's incredulous. I remember talking to one of these men in a social setting was like pulling teeth. One word answers, and he's apparently quite the cheater. I'm gobsmacked.

It's practically never anyway for me, he's EA. Just biding my time so I don't really care this time.

Who can be bothered with all the double texting.
