Divorced, trying dating website but it's getting depressing

Divorced with two small children and ready to find a person for a long term relationship. I had a really tough end of my marriage so I want to draw a line and meet a nice person who wishes to share his life with me.

I have very little social life, I go to work and I stay with the kids. Chances to meet somebody somewhere are equal to none.

So I then sign up to few dating websites, POF, OKCupid, Tinder, Bumble. I went on few dates but no clicks or men disappeared. I am very choosy though, I go through a thorough selection before going out. I am losing my confidence so I am thinking of treat myself and paying for a website.

Wise mums, would you recommend one? Eharmony? Match? Guardian soulmates?

I can't subscribe to all of them so I would values your advice

Thank you!

I've found that there's a higher percentage of men with degrees on match.com than plenty of fish (weird observation I know)

I've not found a partner on either so I can't speak about their success rates :P

There's a dating thread, think number 108 now, with lots of advice. I'm starting to go back on it as think my relationship from OLD has fizzled out after 2 months.

Hi Lily - come and join the rest of us on the rocky road of OLD (online dating) on the dedicated dating thread - Trying to find our soulmate - dating thread 108 - or something very similar.

There are loads of people sharing their experiences - good and bad - and the list of rules is a must when embarking on this often turbulent journey !

Good luck
