Having been strong for the last 17months since husband left, juggling busy full time job and learned how to be a separated parent. Apparently everyone does it so I should stop moaning says dearest SH (separated husband - although you could apply other words!). Feel like I'm not doing anything well at the moment and struggling to pick myself up. I washed down lots of self help books, empowering break up music and the internet which helped now flagging to keep up the brave face. Facing my forties. I'm still thinking it's a good landmark Birthday for starting a new part of my life but just got into the rut of groundhog. Please someone help me dig myself out x

I am in the same boat.

I decided to try waterskiing in a few weeks time. I have decided to write a list of new things to try and work my way through them

Georgethecat waterskiing sounds good! I'm thinking a sprint triathlon - I'm so out of shape so massive challenge on the brink of 40!

My mum was in the same position. It's cliche and hard but literally just give it time. My mum 3 years on has a lovely life with a great guy she's got her self out of debt and in a better position than she ever was.

Sprint triathlon! Brilliant stuff - get on it! Exactly what is needed, a challenge & focus.
Getting in shape will happen quickly physically as well as mentally.
Good Luck Flowers
