They aren't all bad you know - that's men

I wanted to share this with MNeters.

I was at lunch in the work restaurant and heard a colleague trying to deter his friend from having an affair.

He said you're just nitpicking to find fault in her and she's the same as when you met her years ago. He said "You've got a good woman there"

He went on to say "You guys have so much history, don't f**k it up by messing around"

He was telling him you're just getting your head turned because [insert name] likes you and she's 10 years younger, so you feel good about yourself. The grass isn't greener on the other side you know.

I think this is so often how affairs happen, but I thought to myself what a good mate the guy was to speak that way.

When someone turns your head, it's easy to start finding fault in your partner. It's just finding an excuse to justify having an affair.

Whether the other man will go ahead and play away I don't know, but he isn't going to use the good guy as his cover or even tell him knowing his views.

If there are no photos (and in this case a sound recording) then it didn't happen. I want to see/hear both parties in conversation, plus photos of the wife and would-be girlfriend. wink

Sounds like Guy 2 was speaking from experience. Hopefully Guy 1 will listen.

Yeah, I thought that might be the case as well. It's like he knew about the slippery slope to getting into an affair and the damage it can cause. Or perhaps it happened to.
