Shall I report my neighbours?

Didn't know where to put this.

No previous problems with them. They are having a party and smoking cannabis.

They might know it's me, and I don't want repercussions. Am I being petty?

Kr1stina Sat 04-Jun-16 21:25:22

What do you want to report them for and to whom ?

DuvetDayEveryday Sat 04-Jun-16 21:25:41

Seriously? It's 9.30 on a Saturday night.

CrazyDuchess Sat 04-Jun-16 21:26:18

What in particular is bothering you?? Is it the smell or the noise??

cheesecadet Sat 04-Jun-16 21:29:41

The cannabis!! duvet you smoke it do you?

DrunkenMissOrderly Sat 04-Jun-16 21:30:12

For that? Christ no. Unless there's a drip feed coming?

Kr1stina Sat 04-Jun-16 21:30:43

If they are decent neighbours to you, why woudl you do that ?

ThoraGruntwhistle Sat 04-Jun-16 21:31:06

I don't think anything would be done about it unless they were selling it, would it?

cheesecadet Sat 04-Jun-16 21:31:57

Kr1stina the police, who else?!

The police really really aren't going to care about a few joints on a Saturday night. Don't you think they have better things to do?

DrunkenMissOrderly Sat 04-Jun-16 21:33:38

Don't you think the police might be a little busy on a Saturday evening dealing with actual problems?

RusholmeRuffian Sat 04-Jun-16 21:35:11

Christ almighty, why would you even consider reporting them? How are they doing any harm to you? I'm glad you're not my neighbour!

FeckinCrutches Sat 04-Jun-16 21:35:38

There is no way the police are going to come out for someone smoking a joint in their back garden grin

Gide Sat 04-Jun-16 21:35:42

Police prioritise calls re seriousness. Stabbing in progress-come right now. Noisy neighbours smoking dope-come out next week. Don't be daft, OP, they have better stuff to deal with, like the DV incident my mate dealt with today.

legotits Sat 04-Jun-16 21:36:19

Hehe grin

Tell on me instead.

I'm doing it too

VulcanWoman Sat 04-Jun-16 21:36:31

People walk the street smoking it, unfortunately nothing can be done, F'in stench.

LondonStill83 Sat 04-Jun-16 21:38:18

I seriously hope you are joking!

However this thread has made me laugh when I was in a foul mood. If I told you YWNBU would you pinkie promise to call the police and record the conversation verbatim once you finished?

blueskyinmarch Sat 04-Jun-16 21:42:19

Yes you are being petty. The police won't come out for that.

cheesecadet Sat 04-Jun-16 21:42:57

Sounds like there a lot of mumsnet junkies out there!!

FeckinCrutches Sat 04-Jun-16 21:44:33

Junkies? Really?

exWifebeginsat40 Sat 04-Jun-16 21:45:21

junkies? blimey. you need to get out more.

FeckinCrutches Sat 04-Jun-16 21:45:30

I'm not a 'Junkie' but I've got enough common sense to know they won't come out for something so trivial.

pointythings Sat 04-Jun-16 21:45:52

Smoking a joint on Saturday night = junkies? Really?

FWIW I don't touch the stuff, but I don't hoik my judgey pants up around my neck over it either. You really need to wind your neck in and not even contemplate wasting police time with this, OP.
