Laughing after sex .....

I have just started seeing a new man. Everything is fine but there is just something he does that I find a little strange: he bursts out in laughter about 10 secs after cuming. Has anyone experienced this it makes me feel a little bit weird. He tells me it is a compliment but I am not sure ...

No I haven't experienced this thankfully and quite frankly it would put me off!

Ew, that would put me off. Is it every time? How old is he? 17?

Hmmmmmm.............. I think I would question whether he's for me.

People do weird shit in bed, I wouldn't try to take any meaning from it. If you find it really off-putting though, that's another matter.

I had a boyfriend who did this - I thought it was quite cute.

Have you ever read any Nancy Mitford?

One of her main characters, Linda Radlett, laughs in bed and describes it as because she's a simple character who generally laughs when she's happy and cries when she's sad.

Would thinking about it in those terms make any difference?

Yeah, my bf does this, it's the release & happiness but he does qualify it with ' Oh that feels good, that was fantastic' etc.

I do this - it's completely involuntary and luckily no-one I've slept with has minded! Don't take it personally, I think it's just all part of the general feeling of release.

Blush I do this after an orgasm - I can't help it and don't know why I do it. It's not loud belly laughing though just a quiet little giggle. Luckily my partner thinks it's very cute and I did warn her beforehand.

My DH does this- he's very sensitive after he ejaculates and the slightest touch makes him giggle...

I read an article that said orgasm can have different effects on people; some laugh, some cry, some just fall asleep, etc. It's nothing to worry about. I often laugh during after a good session Blush

I had a partner who sneezed every time he got turned on!

Dh does that. Totally involuntary, just bursts into giggles. Always has done. A particularly good session will have him in peals of laughter for ages. Can be annoying but there are worse things!

I always laugh after great sex (makes DH giggle as well, we're so well suited Grin). It's probably something he's not got much control over. Is the sex satisfying enough for you though that you are getting annoyed about him laughing? Surely after sex you should be super chilled and relaxed, not getting annoyed about a little thing like someone laughing with pleasure.

I sometimes laugh or cry after orgasm, it's a very intense, emotional feeling. It doesn't always happen and can be either happy or sad for no apparent reason.

Sounds cute. But clearly you aren't into it

Thank you all for the comments. Interesting to know that it is so common. I actually find it endearing I guess if it's an involuntary thing.

It could be a lot worse OP. I used to have a DP who would shout "Shit! Fuck!" when he cameConfused. Such a massive turn-off.

I had a short relationship with someone who shouted "Fuck! FUck! FUCk! FUCK!!!!!!'" as he climaxed. Found it quite off-putting tbh - and all a bit "me, me, me" Hmm

Woody Allen said that "sex is 'the most fun you can have without laughing" but I'm more inclined to Mr Rotten's view that it's "2 minutes and 52 seconds of squelching noises" which invariably cause me to crack up. Grin

My DH does this occasionally, when it has been especially mind blowing for him. A really deep belly laugh interspersed with sighs and wow's. It was disconcerting the first time, but now I am used to it! I take it as a compliment!

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to comment. I will sometimes laugh or sneeze as well and it is perfectly normal. Nothing to be ashamed of nor is there anything wrong with it. It's involuntary.

Oh yeah in the flip side here... I do this myself!

Have no idea why this happens but oocasionally afterwards I just burst in to the most hysterical and uncontrollable giggles. Only when it’s top notch sex though. Take it as a compliment OP Grin
