Anyone believe in fate - had an odd experience a couple of days ago that made me think about it, but I have never been a believer?

I believe in fate and that everything happens for a reason.

Somethings in my life I can only put down to fate as there doesn't seem to be any other reason for them happening.

I think it's a personal thing, some do, some don't.

Can you say what happened?

I put it in relationships but relevant to any kind of fate I suppose.

I used to. But then the love of my life I met through total fate, stars, coincidence etc broke me in to a million pieces. Without the interference of fate I would still be whole. Now I believe that some people are gullible and some are just twats !

I'm such a sceptic that if someone turns up at the same place/location I assume they are stalking me Smile but had a couple of things lately that make me think, sometimes you take such similar turns bit by bit in life that you end up in the same place at the same time - maybe that's what fate is? Probably over thinking as usual Wink

Yes relationships that have started at odd times in my life, somebody very close to me who was declared dead and then 'came back to life'

I think we can all draw on times in our life when we've maybe questioned, how and why did a,b or c happen and sometimes there just doesn't seem a reason so I put it down to fate.

Call it chance instead of fate and it becomes less woo and then you can act on it or not in a rational way rather than thinking something is "meant".

No, fate is really not a thing.

Coincidence is, if that helps? It's to do with probabilities and the numbers of people in the world. I'm rubbish at maths but there was some very clever maths thing I heard on the radio that explained how coincidence works.

Things happening because some deity type thing has decided it so? Not so much
