coasting for years.....

How did you know when it was over? We've been coasting for years. Been together 18 years, married 18 months due to international move (which I didn't want to do). I have built up lots of resentment over the situation which i thought I had mostly got over but has been bothering me recently. We have never been good at talking, now relationship coasts along with no emotion whatsoever. No sex for about 3 years, although its not initiated by either of us. Dh is workaholic and away probably 3-5 nights in every fortnight plus works long hours (ie out around 7/ 7.30 for a 12 to 14 hour day). 2 kids aged 3.5 and 8. Probably not returning to UK for about 18 months and I wonder if DH will actually want to go at all. me and dc are used to being a little unit on our own and tbh I get a bit pissed off when dh comes home and wants everything his way.
Over the years I have found it harder and harder to talk to him to the point where now I spend a lot of my time with very little feeling towards him. Not sure what I want to get from this but kind of feel I need to get it out on paper. Separating would devastate the kids and so far its being the thing thats keeping it all together.
Theres no real arguments or animosity between us and we get on fine, I just don't think there's much else there. I feel like I'm stuck in limbo.
