Spying on whatsap

Hi does anyone know if my activity can be looked at on whatsap ? My partner is very jealous and seems to know who I've been having conversations with on whatsap . When I get in he always asks have I heard from anyone today and if I miss anyone out he will say their name and ask are you sure you haven't heard from then . He's obsessed every time I use my phone asking 'who is that ? What are they saying ? ' . I was wandering how accessible this information is as he has no access to my phone as I constantly have to change my code . This isn't because I have ever done anything wrong it's just that in the past he has took my phone in the night while I've been asleep and helped himself to what he wants

There are a a lot of anti spyware apps that you can download from the app store, you can choose between free or paid ones.

Whatsapp also records when you were last active all of your whatsapp contacts are able to see this time stamp unless you deliberately switch this function off. This can be done via settings/account/privacy/last seen.

in the past he has took my phone in the night while I've been asleep and helped himself to what he wants - This sounds quite strange.

Hope you are ok as this sounds very controlling behaviour, are you able to talk to him about this?

Can I ask why you are with him? Doest the fact that he doesn't trust you and invades your privacy out weigh the little good?

I would say he is ethier getting lucky or he has downloaded a spy thing on your phone to check what Youv looked at who you messaged etc.

I'm not sure if you can download the app and then log in to whatsapp on two different devices at the same time. If you old then he could be seeing exactly what is being said.

And on a more serious level, of course you realise that this is very, very controlling and wrong behaviour on his behalf? Scarily so!

I already have the ' last seen ' setting switched off because he drove me mad over it and who is been speaking to . I recently got a new I phone so to my knowledge, with the fact I change my code regularly , he wouldn't be able to put spy ware on it . It's strange as he seems to know exactly who I've been speaking to but the other night when I proved by showing him the phone that it was a friend from work he grabbed it from me and started going through all my messages . It's like he knows my activity but not what's in the message

I've checked with whatsap a while ago and they said you can only see the ap from one device

He sounds incredibly jealous and controlling op. You know that isn't either normal or ok right?

Sorry, don't mean to derail but does anybody know if you can get whatsapp on an iPad? I seem to have lost my old iPhone today which has whatsapp on it and want to try to get it on my iPad.

When I got a new phone and logged into whatsapp it automatically logged me out on my old phone. But it does sound as if he has access. It would suggest that he might have installed a keylogger on your phone. Mobile Spy app or similar. Add someone new to your phone. Don't tell him you messaged and wait for him to tell you. If you're not doing anything underhand and he is spying on you, LTB. If it's a keylogger he will see every password change.

I wouldn't waste time trying to work out how he knows, just ditch the guy. He has NO entitlement to know who/when/why your speaking to someone. And defo download an anti-spyware on your phone (everyone should have this anyway, plus anti-virus - our phones are mini PCs and are just as susceptible).

Are you sure he hasn't got it on another device? I'm sure you can do it on more than one device....

Thanks . He would need to have my phone to put that on though ? Was thinking about putting something that isn't true on there and seeing his reaction

Why though?
What bother?
Why are you with someone who persistently treats you like shit?

He sounds like a controlling twat.

He might just be making informed guesses based on your previous known activity, but whatever the case is I have to say that his behaviour is unacceptable.

I couldn't put up with that. Where would it ever end. I'd be tempted to kick him into the long grass if he refused to stop.

Yes he's quite controlling . When I first met him a few years ago he wanted to go everywhere with me which made me feel wanted and nice at the time , he still does . This makes me rebel a bit and I don't tell him my every move , if I pop to the shops and buy a new Lippy or something , I won't tell him because I have to report back everything I do but he asks in a nice way , that's the thing . Then he found out I'd not told him I'd been to IKEA as I'd not mentioned it So this gives him reason to ' fill in the gaps ' as he puts it by having to nab my phone as I can't be trusted
