his body language somehow turned me off the last time we met (still early days). He was shy and nervy, and clearly not very at ease. It was just all really awkward! I don't know whether to just move on or try and see him again? He was nice in every other way and initially upon meeting him I liked him. Just couldn't stomach being with someone who seemed to constantly defer to me/ask me if things were okay - I'm not sure it's going to go that far but i just keep thinking what he'll be like in bed with that attitude - "oh gosh I'm terribly sorry darling but I think I may possibly be about to come, oh how dreadfully inconvenient". Kind of like a teenage boy with no experience

I realise I probably sound like I dislike him which isn't the case at all. I like him! I'm just wondering whether that's what he's actually like or whether it's just early days nerves, which I can definitely live with!

It could be that he is shy or it is his first date (online / blind date eg)?

Worth another drink together

Well you won't know unless you meet him again will you?

Definitely give him another shot. It's probably not the real him and he's needs a bit more time to be at ease with you.

It's not his first date but it was blind yeah

Maybe we could go for drinks! We went for lunch and it's the first just food/no drink date I've ever been on. Probably neither of us were ourselves

Keep it simple and relax. No need to rush things. Get to know each other and hopefully enjoy your time together.

When I first met my dp we had been speaking on line for a month. When he came to my door I (having been nervous and having had a wine or two) immediately insisted we should hug to cut the nerves - he was literally shaking ! Later when talking about it he admitted he's not particularly tactile and was already nervous and the hug ambush made it even worse Grin however he soon came out of his shell - he is anything but shy, nervous or any of those things. He's amazing. Keep at it OP.
