That's it really, I split up with exdp two years ago and haven't really met anyone I want to be with.

I don't really have much spare time I between working and looking after dcs, I've tried od with only a few dates but I don't seem to be attracted to anyone.
I really am getting lonely and quite down.

Aww nolead! Dont worry there is someone out there for you... try and get out socialising, get a babysitter once a month and take some time out for yourself.

The thing you want most has a way of showing up when you stop looking. x

Recognising that this is how you feel is the first step to feeling better, so well done. Next step - working out what you like doing in your precious spare time and the type of people you like spending time with and making that happen. Don't concentrate on meeting another DP, just friends. After all, friends are brilliant (and also might have other single friends who you'll get to meet when you're feeling stronger!) Good luck!

Be careful, if you don't have time to find a date you won't have time to date.

I would persevere with online dating, and arrange a babysitter for an occasional night out whether or not for dating.

Thank you, I inow everything you're saying is right and the right person will come along soon, it just feels like I've been waiting forever.

I took time so I could 'find myself' if you like and it is definelty starting to hit home that I'm ready.
I also don't have a lot of friends so I don't really socialise which makes it even harder.
