Has anyone else just listened to the Ashley Maddison affair man's interview on PM with Eddie Mair?

Sad

It's basically a perfect insight into how these men justify and rationalise what they are doing.

It was about 10-15 minutes long. Will be on Radio 4 iPlayer soon I'm sure.

No but I read an interview with his wife before all the hacking stuff came out and felt sorry for her. She basically expects him to cheat if she 'lets herself go'

How far in was it? It's on iplayer now but the programme is an hour long.

I heard it, about 40 mins in. Sickening insight.

I did. It was heartbreaking!!
I can't even begin to imagine being that man's wife. He had the audacity to say that he hadn't got exactly what he wanted because he isn't yet in a fully committed relationship with his affair partner... Errrmm....Perhaps because you're actually married to someone else!!!!Confused
I found his smarmy "I'm coping with the separation better than her comment" sickening! I nearly punched my radio!!
Oh, and they've been separated for 5 days fgs!

Sorry just to clarify I meant the wife of the guy who owns Ashley Maddison

I know, it's so unjust that he comes out of it completely "in-love" with his affair partner, and is having a great time now he's able to be out in the open with her, in all her non-overweight glory Hmm, and he genuinely feels entitled to that.

It's the entitlement that got me. Full on justification too. Disgraceful.

I'd forgotten about the "fat" comments! Unbelievable!

I listened with my DH. We were both horrified. DH asked how he is still alive!

The actor did it well.

I also loves how he implies that every man feels this way. Angry

No, no, Bawbag, just the self-obsessed, selfish ones who couldn't give a fuck about the damage they do to others. As long as they get exactly what they want and to hell with anyone else.

It's a website for married people to arrange to meet and fuck

It was a depressing interview - the man was a shallow miserable excuse for a human being and I hope his dick falls off.

Agreed the actor was very good though.

It's a website for married people to arrange to meet and fuck but why can;t they do that at home? On a sort of date night. Just make the arrangement over the phone maybe, put the bins out, and meet afterwards when the kids are asleep.

MaillotRojoPan · 21/08/2015 21:48

Or..or.. in the bins. More challenging.

Sorry.

But is anyone taking this seriously? The info is on the dark web, if anyone knows how to access that, then search for detail. Amongst 40 billion trillion names.

IF you search then your rel, is screwed anyways. May be useful to lawyers?

Have they actually released a full list of all the users yet? Rather than the "enter an email address and see if it matches" job?

The full list, in alphabetical order would be more useful.

Can anybody provide the link to the interview, please? I'm obviously being a total Luddite, as I can't find it on iplayer.

Sorry MrsV I apparently can't do links on the iPlayer app.

It's the BBC Radio iPlayer (not TV, think that makes a difference), and it's the PM programme with Eddie Mair, it was on at 5pm today, and the interview is 40minutes into it.

Just listened to it. TBH, I'm not sure he came across as a terrible person, just a bit shallow. He met his wife when they were very young, he didn't appear to be in love with her anymore and he wasn't physically attracted to her. I just can't get outraged by a person not fancying their partner if they've put a lot of weight on. They were good friends with a lot of shared history, but that is all.

Of course the sensible (and right) thing to do if he was unhappy with the relationship would be to have left her and then pursued another relationship, but it's not exactly uncommon to do it the other way round.
