Feeling love?

Hi all
Things have been up and down between my DP and I. Been together 6 years, 2 DC (2yo and under 1 year old).
I have forgotten what love is and can't work out if I love him? Does this mean I don't? Or does it mean I've lost my way and just can't remeber what it feels like.
I miss him if he's not here! But we quite frequently argue.
So anyone else experienced this, then realised you feel love again it was there all along. Sorry if it's confusing! TIA

It's a hard one, with tiny babies it's hard to find time for each other. I had two with 18months between them and the first few years were just existing. When did you start feeling like this?
Are you affectionate with each other? Do you just feel a bit like flatmates?

No we aren't affectionate with each other. And it's not been great since I got pregnant with the first DC

I suppose most couples go through dry periods in terms of how you relate to each other, especially with young children to care for.

My partner and I went through a terrible phase when we used to argue all the time and even thought of divorce. We persevered and things got a lot better now. We have our arguments now and then but we also find humour in the situations we find ourselves in. We look at us like we would look back in 20 years, and find the comic side to it too.

Obviously, I wouldn't have given it a go if there were emotional or physical abuse. That's another kettle of fish altogether and those relationships cannot continue.

Can you talk to him about these feelings?

Talk to him. Tell him how you feel. Ditch the kids for an evening and have some adult time. Maybe book a nice hotel?
