Just that.

Um, thinking....
...I might do the first bit, but deletion, not so much. The only reason surely is to avoid someone who might have access to your phone seeing the number?

What's occurring Bogey?

I have. People from selling sites I have no interest in keeping their numbers. Tradesmen. Taxi man to ask where he is.

Is it your DH? Are you worried?

Bogeyface · 30/06/2015 20:28

Yes it was H.

He has form.

THe texting I get, I have done it with the numbers for parents from school for party RSVPs for example, but to delete it? And only that one, not others so its not a space issue?

I dont know whats going on, but I have a hunch. It was ten past nine last night.

Are there any other things or just this one? Brew

It could be for anything! Is there a reason for your suspicion?

Report
Bogeyface · 30/06/2015 20:31

No reason, just instinct. The last time I felt like this I was proved right.

Oh bugger. Go with your gut instincts. If it feels wrong, it usually is.

Have you asked him?

Always trust your instincts, Bogey. Is this another case of cherchez la femme?

I have done it with "Stop spamming me with your stupid payday loan texts" and then blocked the number, which automatically deletes the text thread on my phone.

How do you know he did it Bogey? Did you see him?

DoTheDuckFace · 30/06/2015 20:37

Sounds dodgy to me, especially if he has form.

Hope you'really OK.

I would trust spidey senses, because mine have never been wrong in the past. However, have you asked him? His reaction may tell you a lot?

I do that all the time, the on,y numbers I keep are close family and friends - everyone else gets deleted.

My ex H text his sexting partner like this, always deleted and no number stored, till he forgot to delete one particularly tasty text. I only found out the extent of it by accessing his bills, he said it was a brief mistake, but hed been sexting her for a year.

Try and see the bills if you have suspiciona, the numbers will show you if its a regular thing

I do it with tradespeople and similar.

Report
Bogeyface · 01/07/2015 00:15

It is PAYG so no bills, no tradesmen etc (especially at that time of night) and it was a proper mobile number with +44 at the start. Also, his phone tells me that it was a reply.

I just want some reassurance that given his history (bad) that I am not going bonkers.

Last time he was happy for me to go on anti depressants that (it turned out) I didnt need to "treat" my paranoia whilst pg than admit his sexting.

And if it was the window cleaner or whoever, why delete it? Thats what is getting to me. Spam is fine, you delete that but this was a specific number and not "PPI CLAIM UK!" and he replied then deleted.......

I'm sorry bogey :( this is shit either way!

Do you need to "know"? Or is it enough that you suspect?

(((Huge hug)))

Deleted the text or number?

I did this recently with someone who wanted to buy a fridge off a selling site.

Mostly because I had a really bad butt dial experience a few years ago with a mum from school.

Bogeyface · 01/07/2015 00:41

Deleted text to a non contact number but it was a reply.

And a "bad butt dial experience with a mum from school"?! I think I need to know more :o

I had her number on my phone as she'd given my daughter a lift to a violin exam.

I think it was one of me and sis's 3am singing sessions....saw the next day I had butt dialled her..think I'd tried to call our Dad but pressed her number instead.... had a load of abusive 'who the f is this I'm gonna find out and rip yer head off' texts the next day.

Deleted the number and never fessed up. See her around and we say hi so I guess she has no idea who it was and that it was me :)

I would have told her but she's from Belfast and scares the crap out of me!

OK, so he has form. Hence, your spidey senses are inevitably going to be off the radar which is absolutely understandable. Being devils advocate here, I get quite a lot of texts from a pizza company. It is not on my contact list. Having got fed up with texts, I replied "STOP" to prevent any further and then deleted the lot. Is something like this possible?

Can you get hold of his phone and let him think he's lost it? Does he take it to the loo, shower, down to the shed, that sort of thing ie : never lets it out of his sight? Is he disappearing off and not telling you where he's going, has his routine changed? Is he "working late".

You are definitely not going bonkers. Given the situation where you were prescribed AD's and were proved not to be bonkers, is he likely to react in the same way if you confronted him now? As you know, I have been down this road, I recall seeing a text on H's phone from an old work colleague saying "I love and miss you" or words to that effect (it was a man). I did actually believe it because I trusted him and had no reason not to. Now know it was from an OW not sure which one. H obviously laughed it off, told me I was "mad" that old chestnut and said it was just a joke. That got deleted pretty quickly!

I think you should get hold of the phone and see what comes in. Then confront him. Don't sit on this, it's hideous and stressful and you don't need that in your life.

You know where I am. Sending huge hugs xxx
