I've been chatting to a very nice guy on a dating site (eH) and he has asked me on a date.
Am I being childish to be nervous and afraid to accept ? :-(
Anyone else used eHarmony?

Just go. You will never know unless you actually go and meet him. Meet for coffee, not dinner. That way you can escape easily if needed but can also prolong the date if it's going well. Be yourself and have fun. grin

I used eharmony but found it expensive. I went back to plenty of fish in the end as it was free and had most of the same people (plus about a million idiots!) on it. I met my dp on plenty of fish so I can only recommend internet dating. It took me a lot of practice to get it right though.

PoF is what has made me nervous I think. I was on there before and met two nutters :-o

I admit I met a few, got much better at spotting them very quickly though. There weren't many people on eharmony when I tried it, a few more on match. I don't know if it will still be the same now as its nearly 3 years since I was in dating sites.

So here's the question, if you're on a dating site what is it you expect to do there if it's not dating?

I know you're right Lou ....
just trying to tell my head that :-/

It's not childish but I think you need to decide what you're doing there. When I online dated I lost count of the number of people who wanted to talk because they were lonely but had no intention of meeting someone in the flesh.

It baffled me why people were doing that on a dating site

The guys I have met on EH have been really lovely, so do yourself a favour and go on a date. Not dinner just a drink or coffee - good luck
