we both went out the other night in my home city. I went out with my son and husband was with his mates from work. We met up later and he was a bit drunk as he had had nothing to eat. At the end of the night I suggested he went for something . He then got a cob on and walked off. He returned a few minutes later but then got irate again and walked off leaving me in town with no money to get to hotel. I met my son and he gave me the key to his flat and I spent the night there. Husband came for me in the morning and we went home. He said sorry and that he could not remember what happened. I told him and also told him I was humiliated and did not deserve to be treated in such a way. I dont know if he tried to call as my phone was flat . My son said he spoke to him but I do not know the details.
Husband is suprised I am being aloof and am disgusted with him ! He said he has said sorry and I told him that wasnt good enough.

Sorry what has your title got to do with your post?

It doesn't sound like he acted nicely, no.

I don't understand the title of your thread in relation to what you've written. He sounds like an idiot but if it's a one off then let it go - if it's a regular occurrence then that's not on.

Your thread title is rather disablist :(

Additionally - deaf and dumb is incredibly offensive!

I have no idea what the title of this thread is supposed to mean. Confused I also don't understand why, if you are in your home city you needed to go to a hotel, or to get a key to your son's flat. Why didn't you just go home? Confused

So the point of your post was that your husband got drunk, you suggested he eat something, he stormed off in a huff and you are still annoyed with him about it. Yes?

Why is this titled "deaf and dumb dinners"?
What on earth does that mean?

So you hadn't booked a hotel in advance - how did you think this was going to pan out? Confused Where did your husband stay all night and how did he come for you the following day? Did he drive? After being out drunk all night, presumably?

Does he often get drunk and become verbally abusive and unreasonable and conveniently forget it all the next day?

She said she was visiting so booked a hotel... Presumably the hubby disappeared to the hotel and left her out alone. She had no money with her to get a cab back to the hotel and therefore was left to stay with her son.

The original post is quite clear. I'm not sure why people are having trouble deciphering it.

Sorry I misread it. I thought she said no money to get a hotel, but she said no money to get to hotel.
