Confused by text

Opinions please: I got this text from the guy I have been seeing for a few months. Is he being really nice or is this a 'it's been nice knowing you' text?
I had a good time as well. You are really a great person and I am so so glad to have meet you!!!!

I really like him, my instinct is to call him and ask- but I really don't want to come across as insecure.

Sounds very positive to me. Did he say anything else?

Why would you think that could be negative? Confused

Don't call and ask him, he'll think you've lost the plot Grin

Thank you- I was hoping I was just having a moment. He is so nice, I am totally falling for him.

You would come across as insecure so don't question it- do you think things are going well? Do you think he's a great person and are glad to have met him too?

If so just keep enjoying it Grin

He doesn't know the difference between "met" and "meet" LTB

Just kidding, he sounds great. Enjoy! Grin

Ha, yes I held myself back from correcting the typo. I do think he is a great person and I am overjoyed that I met him. I just keep thinking he's going to change his mind about me! I guess that's what comes from 17 years in a terrible marriage does to you. Thanks for the replies though- Any tips on how to be keen but cool gratefully received!!

It sounds an odd text, tbh. Was it in response to something you sent him?

What's odd about it??! Nothing odd in my opinion. He's just saying he likes her and is glad he met her...

I meant, he said, "I had a good time as well." I was asking whether that was in response to something she said.

I don't think it's odd at all. Sounds like a text from a man who's really glad he's found someone he clicks with!

Sounds to me like he likes you a lot. Don't call and ask - just carry on as per normal.

Yes, it was in response to my text saying 'thanks, it was lovely to see you.' after we had gone out for a drink.

Well, why the worry, then?

Read them through again:

You said: Thanks, it was lovely to see you.

He replied: I had a good time as well. You are really a great person and I am so so glad to have meet you!!!!

How can you misinterpret that? Just enjoy having a lovely time with him!

If he was saying 'nice to have known you but goodbye' I don't think he would have added the effusive 'so so glad'. He sounds too enthusiastic for it to be negative.

Keen as mustard.

If you want to reply I would just say something like "Me too :) Do you fancy meeting up for dinner next week?"

Oh, somebody has knocked your confidence so badly that you can't recognise an honest, positive response. What he says is what he means. See him again, like pocket suggests, and have a great time together.

You are all right. Thank you! I am seeing him tonight Smile This morning he sent me a link to a song he likes. He is funny and kind and very sexy.
