How do you flirt via text?

This sounds like a stupid question, but I've never done this. Doesn't help that DH is terrible at replying to text messages (and maybe that's why it's never happened), but how do you do it?

Last text I sent to DH was 'I cannot wait until I get home from work and can do filthy things to you'.

Bit forward, but did the trick.

it depends on the situation, beginning to see someone text messages are different to in a relationship flirty texts.

when starting to see someone they are more suggestive, use of winky emotion. In a relationship generally a bit dirtier and no need of winky face or tounge out face.

think

"I'm sure I could show you some of my talents Wink doubt theyed be aired on Britain's got talent any time soon though Grin. "

and

"when you get home, I'll be upstairs with no knickers on, and I expect a good seeing to"

Grin

Just make you sure you send the text to the right person, remember the Mumsnetter who mistakenly texted her FIL describing the erotic encounter in graphic detail she had planned for the evening Grin.

Winky faces with innuendo. Explicit filth. Oh and obviously just sincere compliments?

I think a compliment actually works better than the "ruder" stuff. It's more subtle, builds a bit more tension and is just nice to receive. And is appreciated whatever mood the receivers in (for example if I was having an awful morning at work I wouldn't perhaps appreciate a sexy text but would appreciate one telling me my arse looked brilliant this morning, or something).
